American Truck Simulator Louisiana: Port Fourchon Preview

SCS Software has once again taken to their blog, giving us another preview of the upcoming Louisiana DLC. In case you missed it, a few weeks ago they gave us a glimpse of the road network, and this week they’re giving us some preview screenshots of Port Fourchon, one of the largest industrial areas in the upcoming DLC.

The port itself sits at the end of Louisiana Highway 1, and thousands of trucks pass through it daily in the real world. SCS notes that their map team wanted to capture that same sense of scale in-game, and looking at the screenshots they’ve provided, it looks like they’ve spent a lot of time detailing the area.

In the blog, SCS also shows off a gas station and garage you’ll be able to own at the port. I took some time looking around on Google Maps to see if a gas station did exist within the port, but couldn’t find one, so it looks like this will be a gameplay addition and not a purely realistic one.

Lastly, they give us a glimpse beyond the port. The port and the surrounding areas are no stranger to storms and frequent hurricanes in the real world, and SCS notes that they’ve spent a lot of time paying close attention to these details by including houses and buildings raise on stilts, storm damaged structures, and weathered rusty machinery.

The Louisiana DLC does not yet have a release date, but these previews hopefully signal that the release isn’t too far away. You can wishlist the DLC on steam on the dedicated store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3012580/American_Truck_Simulator__Louisiana/
