A brand-new truck has entered the world of Euro Truck Simulator, this time, the DAF XF Electric. The truck is part of the new generation of DAF models in the real world, and features an electric PACCAR drive system.
Just like with previous electric trucks in the simulator, it is unfortunately only possible to drive via the Quick Jobs menu, and not via regular play. This is due to the existing issue of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 world not having the correct infrastructure, such as charging points yet, and existing fuel stations cannot be modified by SCS Software to be converted into charging stations without significant changes, though this is something the team is working on.
Given there’s no charging points around the world, SCS software have also added an emergency recharge function within the services’ menu for if you happen to run out of charge during a quick job.
The DAF XF Electric is available now for free to all Euro Truck Simulator 2 players, and is a separate DLC that must be added to your Steam account. You can download it at the link below.
