Hotfix 2 has been released for Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, just a few days after Hotfix 1. The update brings translation updates, along with crash fixes. The AI has also received an update, just as in Hotfix 1, but whether this resolves the constant crashing issues we reported in our review is not yet known. The full changelog for this update is below:
Changelog
- Fixed several translation issues
- Fixed crash when joining the same multiplayer lobby more than once
- Improved AI Firetruck Navigation
- Fixed an issue in the vehicle selection for Mission “Just Tuning The Engine”
- Fixed an issue in the Mission “Stuck at the Office” which prevent some areas from being extinguished
- Improved general game stability
Just like with the last hotfix, where the developers didn’t direclty mention a couple of known issues, they did provide a known issue list along with some workarounds a few weeks ago. We’ve included these below in case they’re issues you might be having.
- Crashes related to GPU drivers: It may help to launch the game with the following startup option: “-clearPSODriverCache”. If your problem persists, remove this option again as it will slowdown the game start.
- Extremely bright screen on PC: Try changing the Quality Preset in your graphics settings. You should be able to re-apply your original settings afterwards.
- If you are experiencing crashes in the mission “Crashing the Party”, try skipping the approach when starting the mission. This can help to avoid the crash.
- Severe FPS drops when using foam with FSR Frame Generation enabled: Disable FSR Frame Generation in the graphics settings.
