Firefighting Simulator: Ignite has just been released to the world. The game, a firefighting simulator, sees you step into the role of a U.S firefighter in the Midwest. The game also features multiplayer, allowing you to play with up to 3 other players.
Unreal Engine 5 is used as the game engine, which does give the simulator a good look to it. Fires also seem to look and behave realistically, which is good as the simulator is intended to be as realistic as possible, and includes a set of missions that players will go on. Per Astragon, the publisher of the simulator, each mission will have its own set of unique challenges such as trapped civilians, electric fires, flammable liquids, grease fires, backdrafts, flashovers, and explosions.
In addition to the game and world looking realistic, the simulator also features licensed Rosenbauer fire trucks, including the TP3® Pumper, Viper®, 68′ Roadrunner, and more. From all the images we’ve seen, these trucks seem to represent their real life counterparts quite well. There also seems to be a vehicle DLC pack planned for the future, though there aren’t currently any on details on what this will include, or if they will also be by Rosenbauer.
The game also features a modding system, which includes allowing developers to create missions. This should hopefully add some replayability into the game as new missions get released by the community. Mods are also available on console thanks to Mod io.
