Firefighting Simulator: Ignite is set to get its first patch soon, fixing some of the most reported issues, including one we mentioned in our initial review here.
The developers state that they are planning for this patch to go live early next week, but do not have an exact ETA due to the update needing to be coordinated across all platforms.
The list of fixes in this patch so far provided by the developers is as followed:
- Fixed issue where conscious victims would not properly enter the aerial cage when following the player
- Fixed input issues on vehicle interactions (Siren, Yelp) while driving
- Fixed an area that was almost impossible to extinguish in the mission “The Kiosk”
- Fixed holes in destroyed residential roofs: It is no longer possible to fall through and get stuck
- Fixed several translation issues
- Fixed issues with AI firetruck obstacle detection (We reported on this issue in our review)
- Fixed a compression issue on Intel 13th and 14th gen. (We reported on this issue in our review)
- Improved general game stability
They also provided a known issues list and workarounds, though these issues do not have an ETA for a patch.
- Extremely bright screen on PC: Try changing the Quality Preset in your graphics settings. You should be able to re-apply your original settings afterwards.
- If you are experiencing crashes in the mission “Crashing the Party”, try skipping the approach when starting the mission. This can help to avoid the crash.
- Severe FPS drops when using foam with FSR Frame Generation enabled: Disable FSR Frame Generation in the graphics settings.
- Crashes related to GPU drivers: It may help to launch the game with the following startup option: “-clearPSODriverCache”. If your problem persists, remove this option again as it will slowdown the game start.
