FlightFactors 777 leaves beta phase

Developer FlightFactor’s 777 for X-Plane 11 and 12 is officially leaving its beta phase. In a post made on the X-Plane.org forum, the developers mention that it’s a year ago, and since that time they have released over 60 updates thanks to customer feedback and support.

They believe that the product is now in a mature enough state where the aircraft no longer requires the beta label. The developers note that in practice, dropping this label doesn’t mean much for customers, and you can still expect bugs fixes, feature refinement, and new aircraft capabilities.

They also note that each new release will now have a stable version available for you to rollback to should there be any issues with an update.

Still to come from FlightFactor on the 777 is the below, which was included in the post:

  • Ongoing improvements and refinements
  • Expanding the EE pack with additional engines
Introducing more aircraft variants (e.g., -F, -300, and more)
  • Brand-new weather radar powered by the latest X-Plane weather API
  • Enhanced FMC functionality (winds, alternate page, and beyond)
  • Deeper integration of CPDLC, ACARS, EFB, and FMC systems
  • Optimized display rendering with improved Zink compatibility
  • Quality-of-life upgrades for the Charts and Document Viewer EFB apps
  • + More
