FlightFX has just released version 1.3.6 of their Cessna Citation X, bringing a plethora of fixes and new features, including refinements across visuals, handling, performance, and avionics.

The full changelog can be found below.

General Improvements

  • Added VR collision mesh to cockpit panels
  • Added co-pilot camera

Lighting

  • Improved exterior lighting effects
  • Corrected exterior light intensities, positions, and rotations
  • Strobe and beacon lights are now LED style on winglets version
  • Interior cabin lighting LODs improved

Art

  • Added Lite texture variants for both winglet and non-winglet versions, reducing texture memory usage to one-quarter. (If you use Xbox, FlightFX recommend you use the Lite package for better performance)
  • Changed beacon location to the top of the tail
  • Fixed gap near left FMS
  • Fixed an issue where landing light switches activated the opposite light
  • Corrected the landing lights effects
  • Corrected orientation of nav and strobe lights on non-winglet version

Sound

  • Fixed left engine start volume
  • Fixed packs cutting off at idle
  • Adjusted cockpit and cabin wind volume
  • Tweaked exterior exhaust sound

FADEC & Performance

  • Corrected FADEC data to provide more thrust at lower altitudes in cruise mode
  • Corrected erroneous fuel flow data above 43,000 feet under high ISA conditions
  • Removed erroneous data point that caused a jump in CRU detent rating when passing 8,000 feet

Flight Dynamics & Handling

  • Improved momentum response on roll
  • Revamped ground handling:
    • Reduced tiller responsiveness speed
    • Revised yaw inertia on the ground
    • Added option to separate rudder and tiller axis

Thrust Reverser System

  • Fixed thrust reverser STOW switch; now properly stows reverser buckets
  • Fixed an issue where reverser animations would sometimes activate in flight
  • Improve thrust reverser logic
    • Buckets now deploy immediately upon activation
    • Negative thrust is applied as soon as the reverse lever is active
    • N1 now ramps in response to throttle position (previously On/Off)
  • Tuned Autothrottle response
  • Reduced Autothrottle thrust reduction speed when capturing altitude from flight level changes

Systems & Avionics

  • Autopilot manual disengagement now functions correctly
  • Fixed spelling error: “AILERON”
  • Added support for 8.33 kHz spacing
  • Vertical Situation Display (VSD): Fixed PTH deviation indicator
  • Fixed lag during baro changes
  • Adjusted crossbleed start logic at high altitudes
  • Fixed the skip button on the co-pilot side
  • Fixed minimums on the co-pilot side
  • Fixed units not saving
  • Adjusted center wing fuel transfer logic
  • Switched flap actuation from hydraulic to electric logic
  • Fixed spoilers response to hydraulic logic
  • Added error messaging for failed SimBrief route imports
  • Fixed an issue where vspeeds were not calculated when the destination airport was too close to the departure/current location
  • Fixed an issue causing managed speed to capture a waypoint speed immediately on direct to
  • Fixed an issue where flight plan sequencing would not work on flight restart or sometimes on flight start on slower machines
  • Fixed TOD points showing when they are not supposed to
  • Decreased APU starter amperage, was too exaggerated and causes batteries to die if external hardware spams APU STARTER (will still drain the batteries if spammed, but will take longer)

V.A.M.S 2.0

  • “Ready to Start” panel state now properly removes chocks
  • Removed external OpenStreetMap leaflet link
  • Fixed an issue where the tablet could get stuck outside the aircraft when using third-party camera software
  • Added an option to enable 8.33 kHz spacing in V.A.M.S
  • Added EFB options for Tiller smoothing and Tiller rate (edited)

FlightFX has also taken time to update the manual, which can be found here.

If you don’t already own the FlightFX Citation X, you can pick it up in the Microsoft Flight Simulator in-game marketplace.
