SCS preview aren’t slowing down with their DLC previews, and today we’ve got a fresh one for the upcoming Illinois DLC.
Moline is one of the key cities in the upcoming DLC, and in the real world has a population of just over 42,000. The city is currently the home of John Deer, having one of the largest agricultural machinery production facilities in the entire world located there.
While John Deer isn’t a brand in the American Truck Simulator world (though we’re sure they’ll be mods for this), SCS Software have modelled a harvester works depot, though sadly we don’t have a preview of this yet.

The city also contains tons of other landmarks, such as Bridge Point 485, which has a tall tower previously used for elevator testing. In addition to Bridge Point being modelled by SCS, they’ve also modelled in the Western Illinois University Quad Cities campus.

Also coming to the DLC is as stretch of Great River Road, which is a designated All-American Road recognized for its cultural and scenic significance. The road even has its own website. SCS notes that them adding this to the DLC allows them to highlight a nationally important road.
Something SCS has mentioned a lot in recent DLC previews is churches, and this preview is no different, providing two previews of churches they’ve included in the city of Moline, although one of these has actually been converted into a theater.

SCS closes out the preview by noting that they worked carefully to make sure the scale of Moline was correct, as just across the river is Davenport, Iowa, and so they need to make sure the two felt connected yet distinct.

The Illinois DLC for American Truck Simulator does not yet have a release date, however, you can wishlist it now on steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3486960/American_Truck_Simulator__Illinois/
