Orbx Release Jurassic World: Archipelag for MSFS 2024

ORBX has just released what is likely to be one of the most interesting concepts for a Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 addon this year, developed in collaboration with Universal.

The addon brings the world of Jurassic World to the simulator, letting you explore the islands off the west coast of Costa Rica, including all of their landmarks and creatures. According to ORBX, this is the first time in the history of the Jurassic World franchise that you can explore Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, and the entire Muertes Archipelago in detail at your own pace.

The scenery is set just before the events of the 2015 Jurassic World film, and is designed around the time when the park is operational, but not everything is under control.

Additionally, the scenery includes 6 islands, along with 6 airstrips and 12 helipads across the islands. In addition, ORBX has included scenery at both Juan Santamaria Airport and Herradurda Bay Marina. There is also a set of activities included where you can transport VIPs and take photographs on a guided tour.

Along with the detailed scenery, ORBX has modelled 6 dinosaurs:

  • Tyrannosaurus Rex
  • Apatosaurus
  • Stegosaurus
  • Pteranodon
  • Gallimimus
  • Mosasaurus

The pricing structure for Jurassic World: Archipelago is a little different from most add-ons, and has 4 different purchasing options, with the base addon starting at $24.99, and scaling up to a $49.99 bundle that includes the ORBX PAC750 aircraft and liveries.
