SCS has taken to their blog to provide us with a preview of the upcoming Scandinavia Refresh, which was announced back in January. The goal of the refresh is to update the most popular and oldest expansion for ETS2.
Today’s preview specifically showed us Denmark’s Motorway 16 and Road (Primærrute) 26, along with the landmarks SCS has added along the route. Both of these roads run inland, and provide a more varied route to your destination. SCS also note that they’ve added in two new gas stations along this route.

One of those gas stations is in Viborg, which Motorway 16 passes through. Its central placement makes it a good stop for both short and long haul deliveries.

Then towards the west, the new route passed near the town of Skive. While Road 26 skirts around the town, SCS has modeled in four of the 11 Stars of Skive, which is a series of sculptures placed in roundabouts. While SCS didn’t provide a preview of these, you can see a preview of what they look like in real life here. The sculptures modelled in the simulator with this rework are orvet, Tegnet, Vestenvinden, and Kraka.

Then finally, we get a look at Vilsund, where the second new gas station has been modelled. Vilsund is also home to a draw bridge that in the real world occasionally opens for passing ships, though SCS has confirmed that in the simulator this will instead be a static model.

There is currently no ETA on a release date for the rework, but if you don’t already own the Scandinavia DLC, you can pick it up on Steam here.
