The 26th was a busy day for ProMods announcements, as just after their post about The Great Steppe v1.4.0, they’ve provided yet another map update post.
This time it’s about the Tours map add-on. Tours released in 2025, and focuses on the region of Loire Valley, Tours in France. It quickly became a popular map mod, receiving over 18,000 downloads on TruckyMods alone, but it looks like it may no longer be a separate download for those of you running Promods.
Posted on the ProMods blog by Richie, it’s been announced that the mod has now been officially merged into ProMods, which will ensure the mod lives on but also benefits from the same quality standards of the rest of ProMods.
For those of you previously running Tours and ProMods together, you’ll immediately see smoother connections between the two, along with improved assets where required. Additionally, the team has added several new companies in and around Tours to give you more delivery options around the area.
Richie also mentioned that just like with previous mod merges, this isn’t a simple plug and play of the mod. Instead, the developers will gradually refine the area so it feels like a natural part of ProMods.
Sadly, it does seem like the original creator of Tours Map will no longer be a part of the project, as the post ended in a thank you to him by the ProMods team.
The Tours map will be a part of the next ProMods Europe release, but there isn’t currently an ETA for that said release.
